radio_aspen: (M'aiq NEEDS THIS)
I feel like noting that while Nocturne makes use of the demon fusing mechanics characteristic of the main series, I haven't actually been using them very much. This is because it adds something else that I find works better--evolution. Not all demons can evolve, but there are enough of them to fill out your party at virtually every level range, and evolving is basically the only way to get demons at a higher level than your current protagonist level (they can exceed him by up to four). Furthermore, evolved demons keep all of their skills, compared to a transfer limit of two to four for fusion. And early in the game when you can only have 8 demons with you (I'm level 27 and this is still the case) it's much easier to do things this way since your fusion options are rather limited.

--So I finally looked it up and the way debuffs break down is actually like this:

Tarunda - decreases physical AND magical attack by 1/8 for All
Enemies
-> Warcry - decreases physical and magical attack by 1/4 for all
enemies

Sukunda - decreases accuracy and evasion by 1/8 for All Enemies
-> Fog Breath - decreases accuracy and evasion by 1/4 for All
Enemies

Rakunda - decreases defense (phys and magic) by 1/8 for All
Enemies
-> Taunt - decreases defense by 1/4 for All Enemies BUT it also
increases physical attack by 1/2 for the enemy party (Taunt is
2x Rakunda AND 4x Tarukaja on the enemy).

Game you are ridiculous. You are being ridiculous right now.

And I'm really not sure what to make of the fact that I've only been pushing these to half of their effectiveness and they're STILL making things hopelessly easy.

(buffs all work normally, with four levels, so idek)

[EDIT - EVERYTHING IN THIS POST IS WRONG BECAUSE ASPEN IS SILLY]
